fishr is an independent fishing information platform that brings waterbody maps, fishing regulations, and available stocking records together in one clear place. It helps anglers spend less time searching across scattered sources and more time understanding where they plan to fish.
Started in Alberta in 2024, fishr now covers Alberta and British Columbia. It is not affiliated with any government and does not replace official regulations.
Our mission
To build Western Canada's most comprehensive fishing database.
We are creating a dependable home for fishing information—organized by waterbody, easy to explore, and useful to everyone from first-time anglers to experienced local fishers.
Better access to reliable data also supports healthier fisheries and stronger communities. When maps, regulations, closures, and other information are easier to find, people are better equipped to fish responsibly, respect sensitive waters, and share accurate knowledge. That helps anglers, local communities, and conservation groups care for the places and fish populations we all rely on.
