Blackstone River

Blackstone River is a mountain stream on the eastern slopes of the Alberta Rockies, located in west‑central Alberta near the community of Nordegg. Upper reaches (mainstem and tributaries upstream of Mons Creek, including Mons Creek) are closed all year; the mainstem downstream of Mons Creek and most tributaries (except Rundell Creek) are open June 16 to Oct 31 with a bait ban and zero retention for trout (total trout 0), cutthroat trout (0), and mountain whitefish (0).
