Buffalo Lake is a central Alberta lake (subarea PP2) located northeast of Red Deer near the communities of Bentley and Rochon Sands; regulations are split between the Narrows (portion in 40-22-W4) and the remainder of the lake. Open May 15 to Mar. 31; bait is allowed on the remainder and in the Narrows bait is permitted but bait fish are not allowed. In the Narrows northern pike are closed (0 fish) and burbot limit is 2 fish except the burbot limit is 0 from Feb. 1 to Mar. 31; on the remainder of the lake anglers may keep one northern pike over 63 cm and burbot are limited to 2 fish (0 from Feb. 1 to Mar. 31).
