Loon River is a northern Alberta stream (mainstem and tributaries) draining Loon Lake, located in a remote part of the NB3 subarea near the community of Loon Lake/Loon River. Fishing is open June 1 to Oct 31; bait is allowed only in the river downstream of Loon Lake. Regulations: walleye 1 over 50 cm, northern pike 2 over 63 cm, burbot 10 fish; other species follow default subarea rules.
